@viharnik, what made you drop the bike and switch to skis? 
Winter above Zelenica is wonderful, it will be even more beautiful in spring when I visit it.

Our daughter said that once is never … but we also remembered that proverb about striking while the iron is hot … and we went touring skiing again today. After yesterday's first touring ski steps to Jarški dom on Mala Planina, this time to Zelenica. This is already a bit more demanding and actually already like real touring skiing…
At mid-morning there was so much hustle at Ljubelj that we first thought they were milling about for nothing  , then we seriously doubted if we could even park… And then a smiling »faca« knocked on the window… we still don't understand how @DarjaZaplotnik spotted and recognized us in the middle of that hustle, when we had never met in person before … but we were very happy to finally meet, unfortunately there was no time to chat much so that the horn behind us wouldn't burn out  ... We'll catch up at the next opportunity…
Well, above Ljubelj there is enough choice for all tastes and abilities, so later there was actually no more feeling of big crowds… Everyone who was up there today enjoyed it their own way and it seems to me that we all returned satisfied and smiling…
At the end we told our daughter that we have now fulfilled her wish to go touring skiing with us, with interest…... and 100 percent ...and the answer followed… yes, but next weekend we'll go somewhere again, if you don't know yet… ... Yeah right, huh... we're already looking forward to it...

Great trip. But I have a concern - given the huge amounts of snow and exposed terrain regarding avalanches that have already taken lives here - isn't it still too dangerous to roam around right now? Or is the snow obviously stable enough...?

On southern slopes it softens enough to start avalanching as evidenced by numerous cracks and avalanches on the summits especially Košuta. On northern slopes it's a different story, it was warm enough for the snow to stabilize, cornices don't move but sooner or later it will start giving way here too with rain or higher temperatures.

If you mean me, I was in Lenuhova and only to the top of Begunjska Vrtaca then down the Šentanski avalanche path to the start, most went Y/Central.

That end of the avalanche debris on Vrtača slid away already in February. Then snow fell over it again and now it's waiting again for its day

Bojan, I was at the hut on Zelenica around half past ten to twelve. I went only to the Završnica spring. Last time I went on the mountain run trail from Kal village to Črna prst. Through the forest I walked about two hours. It seemed quite pleasant to me - only at the end it's steep when you reach the plateau. Last year I was up on Črna prst right on Friday - one day before the race. The hut wasn't officially open yet. They were preparing it for the four municipalities race festival.
