Planina Obranica

Description of mountain hut:
Planina Obranica is a peaceful, scenic location on the southeast part of plateau Mežakla, known after monument of the fallen soldiers (during NOB the battles were fought here), and a pleasant shepherd hut, which stands on its western edge. From the vantage point southeast from the monument is a nice view towards Bled, Gorje, Pokljuka and Jelovica, on the southwest a look stops on Triglav group. Towards the east are widely opening Gorenjska plain and Ljubljana basin.
