Planina Obranica

Description of hut:
Planina Obranica is a peaceful, picturesque spot on the southeastern part of the Mežakla plateau, known for its monument to fallen fighters (battles were fought here during the NOB) and the pleasant shepherd's hut on its western edge. From the viewpoint southeast of the monument, there are fine views towards Bled, Gorje, Pokljuka, and Jelovica; to the southwest, the gaze rests on the Triglav group. To the east, the Gorenjska plain and Ljubljana Basin open up widely.
