Description:
Am Brand is a saddle at an altitude of 2116 meters and is part of the Wetterstein mountains. The saddle is located 1.5 km east-southeast of peak Östliche Plattspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Steinernes Hüttl, located 2km east. A little further is bivouac Ganghofers Rast. 4 km northwest from the saddle there is glacier Schneeferner, 4 km north-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Höllentalferner. The saddle is located above the valley Gaistal.
