Description:
Westliche Plattspitze is 2676 meter high peak and is part of the Wetterstein mountains. The peak is located on the border between the country of Austria and the country of Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Ehrwalder Alm, located 2km southwest. A little further is bivouac Ganghofers Rast. 2 km north-northwest from the summit there is glacier Schneeferner, 3 km north from the summit there is also glacier Höllentalferner.
