Schneefernerscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2699 meters in the Wetterstein mountains. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Austria and the country of Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Wiener-Neustädter-Hütte, located 1.1km north. bivouac Ganghofers Rast is a bit further away. East from the saddle there is glacier Schneeferner, 0.4 km south from the saddle there is also glacier Südlicher Schneeferner. South of the saddle is the valley Gaistal.
