Hohes Egg

Description:
Hohes Egg is 1626 meter high peak in the Wetterstein mountains. The peak is located in country Austria 2 km northwest of peak Zugspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Wiener-Neustädter-Hütte, located 1.4km south. A little further is Liegerlehütte (Jagdhütte). 2 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Höllentalferner, 3 km south from the summit there is also glacier Schneeferner. The peak is located north of the valley Gaistal.
