Sonnspitzl

Description:
Sonnspitzl is 2556 meter high peak and is part of the Wetterstein mountains. The peak is located 1.2 km west of peak Zugspitze near the border with Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Wiener-Neustädter-Hütte, located 0.5km north. bivouac Ganghofers Rast is also relatively close. 0.7 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Schneeferner, 1.8 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Höllentalferner. South of the summit is the valley Gaistal.
