Zugspitzeck is 2815 meter high peak and is part of the Wetterstein mountains. The peak is located on the border between the country of Austria and the country of Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Wiener-Neustädter-Hütte, located 0.9km north. A little further is bivouac Ganghofers Rast. 0.5 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Schneeferner, 0.7 km south from the summit there is also glacier Südlicher Schneeferner. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Gaistal.
