The saddle is located 9 km west from the center of Innergschlöß and 10 km west from the center of Außergschlöß and 0.8 km north-northwest of peak Großvenediger. The nearest mountain hut is Kürsingerhütte, located 3km west-northwest. A little further is Vorderofnerhütte. 3 km north from the saddle there is glacier Untersulzbachkees, 4 km northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Nördliches Viltragenkees. East-northeast of the saddle is the valley Gschlößtal.
