The nearest mountain hut is Niedersachsenhaus, located 1.7km southwest. Bockhartseehütte is also relatively close. 4 km south from the saddle there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 4 km south-southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher. West-southwest of the saddle is the valley Kleinfleißtal.
