Silberpfennig is 2600 meter high peak with a cross located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located in country Austria 6 km west from the center of Böckstein and 8 km west-southwest from the center of Bad Gastein. The nearest mountain hut is Seealm, located 2km west-northwest. A little further is Schöneggalm. 6 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Mölltaler Gletscher, 7 km south from the summit there is also glacier Schapperebenkees. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Kleinfleißtal.
