Mallnitzer Scharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2672 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 0.8 km northwest of peak Ebeneck. The nearest mountain hut is Arthur-von-Schmid-Haus, located 2km west. A bit closer is bivouac Kaponig-Biwak, which is located 1.2km to the south-southeast. 0.5 km west from the saddle there is glacier Dösener Blockgletscher, 4 km northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Trippkees. The saddle is located above the valley Dösner Tal.
