Schartenkogel is a saddle at an altitude of 1414 meters and is part of the mountain group Steinberge. The saddle is located in country Austria 1.6 km north-northeast from the center of St. Jakob in Haus and 2 km south-southwest from the center of St. Ulrich am Pillersee. The nearest mountain hut is Lindtalalm, located 0.8km north-northwest. Tirolhaus is also relatively close. 3 km north-northeast of the saddle there is lake Pillersee. The saddle is located above the valley Pillerseetal.
