Description:
Granatspitze is 3086 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.9 km south-southeast of peak Stubacher Sonnblick. The nearest mountain hut is Staudleralm, located 6km west-southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte, which is located 1.9km to the west-northwest. 0.7 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Granatspitzkees, 0.8 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Sonnblickkees.
