Description:
Rotkogel is 2611 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.3 km west of peak Tauernkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 6km south. A bit closer is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte, which is located 3km to the west-northwest. 1.2 km west from the summit there is glacier Granatspitzkees, 1.7 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Sonnblickkees.
