Medelzkopf

Description:
Medelzkopf is 2762 meter high peakon which a cross stands located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.3 km north-northwest of peak Kastenturm. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 5km south. A little further is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte. The peak is located southeast of the lake Medelzlacke. 2 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Vorderes Kastenkees, 2 km west from the summit there is also glacier Granatspitzkees. The peak is located above the valley Dorfer Tal. The peak is located above the valley Dorfer Tal.
