Hoher Sand

Description:
Hoher Sand is 2605 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 6 km south-southeast from the center of Enzingerboden and 12 km north of Großdorf and 0.6 km west-northwest of peak Gamskopf. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 6km south-southwest. Closer is bivouac Glocknerbiwak, which is located 5km to the southeast. East-southeast from the summit there is glacier Oberwinkl Kees, 1.6 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Rifflkarkees. West of the summit is the valley Dorfer Tal.
