Hohe Riffl is 3338 meter high peakon which a cross stands located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located in country Austria 1.6 km north-northwest of peak Johannisberg. The nearest mountain hut is Erzherzog-Johann-Hütte, located 6km south-southeast. Closer is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak, which is located 5km to the east-northeast. 9 km southeast of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 1.2 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Rifflkarkees, 1.7 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Karlingerkees. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Dorfer Tal.
