Untere Ödenwinkelscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 3154 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 0.6 km northeast of peak Eiskögele. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 5km southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Glocknerbiwak, which is located 3km to the southeast. 8 km east-southeast of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 1.3 km west-southwest from the saddle there is glacier Vorderes Kastenkees, 1.4 km south-southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Laperwitzkees. The saddle is located northeast of the valley Dorfer Tal.
