Description:
Kastenturm is 2917 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 8 km south from the center of Enzingerboden and 11 km north from the center of Großdorf. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 4km south-southwest. A little further is bivouac Glocknerbiwak. 1.0 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Vorderes Kastenkees, 2 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Laperwitzkees.
