Obere Ödenwinkelscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 3228 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 0.7 km south of peak Hohe Riffl. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 6km south-southwest. Closer is bivouac Glocknerbiwak, which is located 4km to the south-southeast. 8 km southeast of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 1.7 km north-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Rifflkarkees, 2 km north from the saddle there is also glacier Unteres Rifflkees. West of the saddle is the valley Dorfer Tal.
