Hoher Kasten

Description:
Hoher Kasten is 3189 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.9 km west-northwest of peak Eiskögele. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 4km south-southwest. A little further is bivouac Glocknerbiwak. 0.6 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Vorderes Kastenkees, 1.5 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Laperwitzkees. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Dorfer Tal.
