Medelzscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2639 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 7 km south from the center of Enzingerboden and 11 km northeast from the center of Berg. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 5km south. bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte is a bit further away. 0.8 km northwest of the saddle there is lake Medelzlacke. 1.9 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Vorderes Kastenkees, 3 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Granatspitzkees. The saddle is located above the valley Dorfer Tal.
