The peak is located in country Austria 4 km north from the center of Hinterthal and 5 km northeast from the center of Krallerwinkl. The nearest mountain hut is Riemannhaus, located 5km west-northwest. Closer is bivouac Wildalmkirchl-Biwak, which is located 1.9km to the east-northeast. Southwest of the summit is the valley Vorderglemmtal. The peak is located above the ridge Bonegg-Südgrat.
