Mittereck is 2469 meter high peak located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 6 km west-southwest from the center of Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal and 12 km north of Krakauebene. The nearest mountain hut is Rudolf-Schober-Hütte, located 5km south. Hubenbaueralm is a bit further away. Southwest of the summit is the valley Rantengraben.
