Description:
Mittereggspitze is 3044 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.8 km east-southeast of peak Rauhkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Bonn-Matreier-Hütte, located 1.8km west. bivouac Merschenhütte is also relatively close. 3 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Hexenkees, 3 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Säulfrosnitzkees.
