Description:
Firschnitzscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2768 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 0.5 km east-northeast of peak Mittereggspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Bonn-Matreier-Hütte, located 2km west. A little further is bivouac Merschenhütte. 3 km west-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Säulfrosnitzkees, 4 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Hexenkees. The saddle is located above the valley Frosnitztal.
