Schaufelspitze

Description:
Schaufelspitze is 2631 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km north-northwest from the center of Obermauern and 4 km east-northeast from the center of Wallhorn and 1.5 km south of peak Rauhkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Bonn-Matreier-Hütte, located 0.7km north. A little further is bivouac Merschenhütte. 2 km north-northwest from the summit there is glacier Säulfrosnitzkees, 3 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Hexenkees.
