Schwarze Wand - Croda Nera is 3105 meter high peak and is part of the Rieserferner Group. The peak is located 4 km northwest from the center of Antholz Mittertal - Anterselva di Mezzo and 5 km west-northwest from the center of Antholz Obertal - Anterselva di Sopra and 1.2 km southeast of peak Wasserkopf - Cima dell'Acqua. The nearest mountain hut is Rieserfernerhütte - Rifugio Vedrette di Ries, located 1.2km east-northeast. A little further is Pichleralm. Northwest from the summit there is glacier Geltalferner - Vedretta di Val Fredda, 2 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Althauskees - Vedretta di Casavecchia. The peak is located west-northwest of the valley Antholzer Tal - Valle di Anterselva.
