Vordere Gubachspitze is 3316 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 8 km northwest from the center of Hinterbichl and 11 km west-northwest from the center of Prägraten. The nearest mountain hut is Essener-Rostocker Hütte, located 3km east. A little further is bivouac Blinigalm. 1.2 km northeast from the summit there is glacier Simonykees, 1.4 km west-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Umbalkees. The peak is located west-northwest of the valley Maurertal.
