Westlicher Rofenbergkopf is 3279 meter high peak in the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 3 km south-southeast of peak Mittlere Hintereisspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Schöne Aussicht Hütte - Rifugio Bella Vista, located 1.5km south. bivouac Ramolalm is also relatively close. 1.9 km west from the summit there is glacier Hintereisferner, 3 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Hochjochferner - Ghiacciaio Giogo Alto. South of the summit is the valley Schnalstal.
