The peak is located in country Austria 5 km north from the center of Kurzras - Maso Corto and 8 km north-northwest from the center of Vernagt - Vernago and 0.6 km northeast of peak Westlicher Rofenbergkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Schöne Aussicht Hütte - Rifugio Bella Vista, located 2.0km south. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 2 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Hintereisferner, 3 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Langtauferer-Joch-Ferner. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Schnalstal.
