Description:
Hintere Hintereisspitze is 3486 meter high peak in the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Brandenburger Haus, located 3km north-northeast. bivouac Ramolalm is a bit further away. 1.7 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Langtauferer-Joch-Ferner, 3 km south from the summit there is also glacier Hintereisferner. The peak is located east of the valley Langtauferer Tal - Vallelunga.
