The waterfall is located 6 km northwest from the center of Brandstatt and 11 km south-southwest from the center of Hintermuhr. The nearest peak is Sattele, which is located 1.6km severo-severovzhodnoThe nearest mountain hut is Gmünder Hütte, located 0.2km north-northeast. A little further is Ritterhütte. 6 km west-southwest from the waterfall there is glacier Trippkees, 7 km west from the waterfall there is also glacier Großelendkees.
