Hochalmscharte

Description:
Hochalmscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2525 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 4 km east-southeast of peak Hochalmspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Villacher Hütte, located 1.8km north. And Ritterhütte is also close by. 0.5 km northwest of the saddle there is lake Mittlerer Hochalmsee. 4 km west-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Trippkees, 5 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Großelendkees. The saddle is located above the valley Gößgraben.
