Dovški Cross via Jugova gully. Wanted it, but didn't make it this time. Had to admit nature's superiority this time, so it was only "almost Dovški Cross". Since a promise makes a debt, Andrej joined us on the tour this time.
Starting point is the end of the forest road in Martuljek. Snow already at the starting point. To Za Akom without winter gear or to below Three Larches, where the terrain steepens again, no further.
Since there isn't much snow yet or only in gullies, progress to the entry into Jugova gully is without major issues, but in Jugova the fun begins. Snow unfortunately not yet consolidated and wind has drifted quite a bit of it, so we sank up to "balls" and more. Therefore we turned around a bit below the last jump out of Jugova gully. Well, next time Still a nicely utilized day in Martuljek.

Last weekend we had a break, yesterday finally first visit to MMP via Kotle.
Start good hour before sunrise. In valley path still muddy but frozen, step on snow bit below bivouac under Špik. Since first time via Kotle we searched a bit, especially now trail under snow and orientation harder, but went ok. To Middle Kotel without crampons, onwards winter gear needed. With gaining height snow cover accumulates, so above Upper Kotel sinks in places even to "the balls" ..and consequently progress hindered and drags. At summit after 5:30 walking and trudging
Descended same path. Martuljek thanks for another wonderful day among your summits.

KMiha: yes we were yesterday. Yesterday too, except for us 4, no living soul on the nearby peaks.
Maybe snow deterred them from the usual. But surely the closure of Vrata valley
Because our original goal was Veliki Oltar from Vrata.

For the end of the snow-free season (forecast suggests so) we visited our favorite mountains, the wild world of Martuljek. We popped up to Velika Martuljška Ponca.
We went from Krnica past the eagle's nest. The path in the lower part, which now with short days is in shade all day, is covered with 1-2 cm snow blanket that poses no problems. Higher up the snow is gone and the path is dry.

Yesterday on Rinkas and Turska gora.
Starting point: V Koncu via Žmavcarje past bivouac below Skuta.
Snow needs to be crossed below Kranjska Rinka. Yes, even without winter gear. But to Turska gora you can bypass the snow above the exit from Turski žleb.
On all Rinkas we were alone, some visited only Turska gora.
Wonderful day spent in KSA.
