Today in beautiful weather a quick hop to Vodil Peak. The trail was nice, quite icy on some parts though, but already trampled. Just a bit below the summit we had to thrust our knees deep into the snow and trudge. Views from the top ideal... in no wind we soaked up the sun's energy and magical vistas for quite some time. So we could describe the trip as a real winter fairy tale

Today my colleague and I are heading towards Bovec, where of course the first stop is at the obligatory morning coffee. Then we head to Čezsoča and park a bit further from Jablenca, where the starting point for our tour is. The path soon turns into the forest and starts climbing quite steeply, but it doesn't bother us at all, because only this way we warm up faster. Soon after we catch the sun and are already at the first views. The path then takes us past Golobar pasture (where we enjoy beautiful views on surrounding peaks) to saddle Čez Utro, where the marked path ends. We continue towards Javoršček and puff towards the goal. At the top... speechless... the effort is immediately rewarded, as we get breathtaking views. Soon after comes the idea of a circular tour towards or along Slatenik valley. We think a bit and are already on the path leading to the saddle. Here we branch right and the path soon brings us to Slatenik stream along which the path leads down to the start. The tour is nice, especially because it's circular., but towards the end already a bit boring. At the end I should mention that the path along Slatenik valley is poorly maintained, because at several places there are lots of fallen trees, through which you literally crawl, or strongly bypass

I was on Saturday from Planina Kuhinja and let me say snow is still very very little, which you can easily bypass.

On Saturday we headed out early to Pl. Leskovca and on to the lake in Lužnica, where we first saw the sun briefly. But good, because the day was really hotttt, as forecast. Continued to Batognica, which had quite a few sunbathers, most of all sheep seeking shade that wasn't there. Best view on Krn offered precisely by Batognica, where you can admire it on a soft flowery carpet. After a short rest, descent to the saddle and final ascent to Krn. The whole trail offered wonderful views, flowers glowing as they bloomed in all their beauty

On Sunday we conquered the Draški beauty, which offers really nice views of our daddy. The path to Pl.Konjščica was in the morning or forenoon very slippery and muddy, where caution wasn't superfluous. At Studorski preval the path goes straight into the dwarf pines, through which you crawl a bit in places, but soon you reach the ridge where you already spot the familiar three-headed. Along the ridge the path went without issues and with beautiful views we quickly reached our goal. The summit was quite crowded, as the weather was ideal for hiking - not too hot and not too cold. For the end a jump into Bohinj lake and the day was perfect

well, nice that you comfort me a bit and that I see what views I could have hoped for..

On Sunday we visited the Stone Hunter, which unfortunately offered no views at all. We were prepared for a beautiful summer day, but arrival in Žabnica offered everything else (cloudy, foggy and dark sky...). We started on the pilgrimage road and when we arrived at Višarje we were already well warmed up. But not for long, as the wind was blowing quite strongly, so we quickly took the path under our feet towards our goal. The higher we went, the more fog accompanied us, but we still hoped the summit would grant us some sun rays. Unfortunately this time it didn't happen and we didn't get any views - more luck next time. The path is super, no snow on the path, only the cables could be tighter.

@gita: everything written, everything drawn and everything commented is the best. Looking at your photos I fall even more in love with nature and for the next hour I'm strongly under the impression of your stories and picturesque nature scenes. You are fantastic

Hi Tminc, I take it via shortcuts, from St. Peter's church to Sevc, then at the chapel straight up... that's my fave, 'cause it's the least crowded.

When time is chasing me, I most gladly head to the nearby but extremely panoramic Vodil vrh.New batch of snow and sunny weather was real luxury for us enjoyers, right?.Compared to the last post, the path was no longer icy, as snow covered it and thus walking was much easier.Let the pictures say more...

Pastures partially collapsed but we used the wonderful cold winter day. Late morning park at Sella Nevea, temp still -10 despite late hour. Quick shoes on, warm clothes and on way to Pecol Pasture. Cold air stings face etc unprotected skin. Path well trodden so quick ascent soon undressing. Path pure bliss noone front or back...mmm soul balm. Closer to goal more winter idyll fans...tourers snowshoers hikers to sledders. Top views give overflowing energy all I said "UF" Windy so tea ate and hurried to valley

Today it already smelled like spring outside, but we headed again to this nice panoramic peak. We chose the shorter path, which was very slippery below the summit. Wading through fresh-fallen snow along the ridge was a real pleasure, views extended far around. But to not slide into the valley we chose the longer path, however it was also icy in some sections, requiring great caution.
So behind us another nice day in the embrace of winter idyll
