Hi, I'm opening a new thread because I can't find it through the search, so if it already exists please move it nasmeh.

I'm interested in which phone networks you use and how satisfied you are with them in the mountains? Is there any difference at all? Because I'm thinking it might be more worthwhile for me to switch from Simobil to t2, but given that I hang around walls more... well 112 catches anyway, but sometimes a proper signal comes in handy nasmeh.

Hi, has anyone recently walked the path from the source of the Tolminka to Planina Lašca? What's its condition?

Last year we went by bike to Čez Utro and down to Čezsoča. Met some locals with a "hut" there who said not to go as it's impassable due to landslides. Well, even to Čez Utro was quite "fun" on sections, terrain generally soaked from rain and parts of path washed away. Probably turbo's suggestion is best.

Vanjap, thanks for the advice. They sewed it. LP

A mini hole formed on my soft shell pants. Maybe someone knows where to take soft shell for repair?

Interesting. I contacted all LJ schools and they all replied to me. I did it before the lectures started. Most were very friendly. Maybe you're late because the schools are already running? They could still reply anyway.

Well, the distance of individuals isn't really the alpinism section's problem. Sure, some have bad luck and have to drive farther than others. You have time if you make it. 250 seems a normal price to me given the knowledge you get and all the options included. Gear is expensive anyway. It's all on a voluntary basis. LG, believe me, others have other "problems", we'll solve them as they come. It's a matter of decision mežikanje

Prices vary a lot, sometimes the price for students and employed isn't much different. 500 is really extreme. Anyway, if you can't pay 300 euros for the school, how can you even afford gear...unless you already have it, in that case 300 isn't that much.
I don't think it's a fair opinion, like older folks just want knowledge and then leave. Probably lots of young ones are like that too, who come but don't know exactly what they want, older ones probably know what we want...
I think you don't just get knowledge, you can get a lot more. If you want it, of course.

We from Ljubljana to the parking take between one hour and one hour ten minutes. From parking to cableway another 10 min walking.

If I remember correctly there's wire most of the time (but not 100% sure), but sometimes you have to stretch a bit to clip over. The path is very well secured though.
Here's another reply right before mine.

On Saturday the plan was to first reach Kranjska koča via slovenska pot and then decide to go to Baba or Rinke. But we went to Baba. Part of the path from hut to main wall is quite crumbly. Whole way we went by principle minimal touching cables and bolts, but especially proud that both managed the first part of that steep wall without. We had SV, but didn't need it, as swinging would only hinder. Summit full of hikers, we crowded nicely up there. Views super and cloudless nasmeh. Back we went over Jenkova planina, that ridge is really awesome, I liked it velik nasmeh. Really nice tour, views along the whole path divine, one would stay there cool.

Yesterday we went up Prisojnik via Hanz's route, we planned the Jubilee descent, but my partner was tiredbig and it was blowing hard, so we decided to descend (we couldn't stop because it was cooling us too much). Like a difficult path – to me it wasn't as hard as I expected, actually I liked it, especially the last climbing sectionsmile. We went 'slowly' and took 4 hours 15 minutes. The snowfield is almost gone, but we crossed below to the right. Also some rock flew between us on the path, I only heard a sound like a gunshotshocked... Only the path to the hut in the forest...khm, better to forget. But nice tour, varied, airy, overall super cool.

IgorZlodej, thx for info, yeah that interested me cos it was very scenic path, over Zadnjica would be bomb. Otherwise on Leva almost never used full kit (na uni lojtri srm se spela), but some sections nice to grab cables sometimes even no special need nasmeh

Today we were on Montaz, specifically thru Pipanova ladder, back via ferrata Leva. Up we took 3.5 hours per description, went really easy, photographed chamois, filmed the fightnasmeh. We were first up, views really super! Ferrata Leva also cool, really nice path, but already quite hot. All in all nice day, just knees hurt mrk pogled.
Is Leva comparable to Kanjavec ledges re exposure?(ledge width, cables)
TanjaM18. 08. 2012 18:51:33
Today we two also went to Jalovec for the first time, namely from Vršič over Jalovec notch, we descended past the shelter under Špička. There were quite a lot of people, weather on top nicely warm (almost hot), for descent already really boiling, which totally exhausted especially me. But nice ascent, at least climbing part to glacier, no living soul and nice to climb nasmeh. On Vršič sheep were coolingvelik nasmeh

On Wednesday, my boyfriend and I went to Mangart via Italiana, then Slovenian, descent via Italian. To M. saddle around 6h, descended to bivak (a shortcut exists, no need to bivak, but we didn't know, first time). A bit nervous before the ferrata, read scary stuff, in the end really cool, passed quickly because always focused on climbing and enjoyment nasmeh. Regarding exposure, deliberately looked down, test - nice views mežikanje. Not so dramatic as expected. Quite proud of ourselves. Nice day too cool
