Based on what's written, I won't defend anyone, but their pup is a really spoiled kid. I doubt it'd attack anyone.

The via ferrata can be normally climbed with a bit of experience in La Sportiva Adidas shoes, for the less experienced highly recommended climbing shoes.. But that's how it is, those who venture into E must know what awaits them :-D

It's relative, what if you have all gear according to all rules but a stone flies into your knee? Yeah, the helicopter comes and they fine you. And no fine before without harness and s.v. kit on very demanding path (helmet was there).. Don't predict if no experience.. And no hard feelings B-) it's also so that for some a hard path is extremely demanding while for some a walk..

Apparently problem at start because scree under Mojstrovka totally flooded, wasn't there but saw pics from Thursday. Oh, apparently three turned back under Hanzova, think due to crack between rock and snow, if anyone has more accurate info even better :-D best, Janez

Well, my dad bought Alpina last summer too, a low hiking shoe, anyway something for quality. In K. Gora on a walk with the dog the sole peeled off after half an hour. Of course he took it back. Yeeeah, no warranty, we can just glue it. It came back totally sloppily glued and rude staff too... then as you wish

Well, today, 30.11. The situation is completely identical, just a bit of snow falling..

To be honest I haven't had Alpina for 5 years, but dad bought 2 different models last year, sole came off after few km, rude staff, quasi repaired but so miserably it's a shame for such a company.. Heard from a few that same happened to them.. Food for thought, good buy:-D

I have a summer Salomon boot, good walking shoe, got classic 12-point crampons from dad. I thought, super let's go to the mountains, but a problem appeared. I have size 48 foot and there was no way to mount crampons on boots - too wide sole. Warning. Then I bought Salewa winter boots MS Raven Combi GTX (tried Alpina too but it doesn't fit my foot), and now I have winter ones for another 5 years, summer ones maybe one year less. Walking is completely different both in summer and in winter.
