I had issues with Bridgedale (blisters), blamed shoes, switched to Lorpen no more issues.
So yeah, spend those 20 € and let yourself be surprised...

It can happen with pricier shirts too, but much less likely.
Even those from Karibuja that stink before you even move much, wash out completely scent-free.

Bad shirt. Invest in better quality underwear (Craft etc.).

Not a combination, it's carbon. OK poles for a good price.

Deuter Guide is a recognized, good model, you can't go wrong. It's a bit more expensive than both Czech ones but it's made of polyamide not polyester.
And also, Deuter backpacks are known as extremely comfortable, which comes in handy if you're carrying it for three days.

Best to try them all and weigh the price/quality ratio.

I straightened the pole, of course, partially on the terrain, more finely at home in a vise. Wasn't the first time.
These are cheap Kohla Alpen-Pro from around 2000 I think.
A good pole doesn't bend just like that, what's on the picture is result of slip/fall and landing with boot directly on the pole.

Personally I prefer slightly heavier and thicker poles exactly because of such incidents. Ultralight ones are light sure but all the more sensitive.

Aha who makes iron poles? And who carries those 4-5 kilograms around?

Aluminum bends and can be straightened, if the pole isn't some cheap/brittle one.

I just hope that in the cleaning frenzy not one of the remaining mulatjeras disappears forever.

Or some other "useless" technical monument.

At Canada Goose they got the idea for a new "technical" color jezik (unfortunately or fortunately the down jacket in that shade isn't in the catalog)

Interesting phenomenon.

I had dry skin problems on hands every winter, knuckles cracked and blood flowed (nothing dramatic, but quite annoying). Same on lips. Various creams and such stuff worked only momentarily.
...until a few years ago I started using shea butter. When the first winter came I didn't even know about the problems anymore. Lips I practically don't cream anymore, hands only as needed, once a day or two. At the same time due to healthy and nice skin my hands don't get so cold.

LG: Labello and various cheap/expensive creams are petroleum based and do nothing for skin regeneration, they help only when you apply thickly, then you're back to square one.

Yesterday I headed to Mrzli vrh (fourth or fifth time this year), of course as befits on foot from the valley on the SW side. Across the hill from about 500 to good 800 m above sea level glaze ice caused real carnage. For the ascent I chose the direction well and through the devastation came relatively easily (emphasis on relatively). At Planina Lapač about a finger of snow shows, which in the summit shady part grows to half a meter, really incredible. Summit was a bit windy, but lonely and quiet, as if asleep, over Krn it was snowing.
On descent on the other path (pathless) I ran into such devastation through which I barely made it. Trees and branches everywhere and that on soaked slope full of stones, everything was moving. Despite numerous stunt feats I got away only with a sprained finger on hand. zadrega

If anyone goes, I recommend the path from Krn village, no problems there.

Let someone else continue, I don't have anything worth guessing at hand.
