I've been using the CampingGaz gas burner for about 15 years now and everything works perfectly, but I've stalled on the cooking idea. Namely, all these years besides teas I've also been cooking spaghetti, along with the spaghetti a can of tuna. I'm already sick of that, even though it's very good, but tuna is apparently getting more and more contaminated too. I'm really a total klutz at cooking, so I'm asking for advice on what to cook in nature that's tasty but not too heavy for the backpack?! I'll be very happy for any ideas! LP milesdavis

Maybe Kreuzbergpass above Sesto? I looked at the front line on a hard-to-read internet map ☹️

Some here write not nonsense, but outright untruths. A bit more knowledge about our Slovenian alpinists would be needed, as this is part of Slovenian heritage we can truly be proud of. Tomaž Humar regarding Nanga Parbat was a pioneer of live reporting "from the wall", which he fully succeeded in on a global level. After this experience and the accompanying circus, Humar never exposed himself to media again, even the closest ones didn't know about new challenges. You know, for Langtang Lirung we learned when the sad chapter was practically concluded. And some talk about Tomaž influencer, those were times when mountains were respected. I'm not saying they aren't today, but ...

Picture 10 - it's high, but also steep. Nice!

Ok, now I'm calm, since only Austrians, Germans, French, Scandinavians and a few others have it cheaper than us.

Of course I complain about the electricity price, it's the most expensive in Europe. It seems it will be the same with parking fees.

Janezs did write in Slovenian, just in his dialect, which can be nice too. He didn't write in Serbian or Albanian.

That's right. Savinja Alps - those are Styrian Carnic Alps.

On pic 27, where now construction site, once stood barracks where I did military service. That was the year when Zlodej as a fresh cop first came to Bovec.

For us sleepyheads there's nothing better than an afternoon hike in the hills. Especially if there's no crowd on the path and yesterday we met no one except one. A local mountaineer who explained that andesite is the rock found only on Komnu. Name comes from the Andes and it is of volcanic origin. And we learned that Komen is Kamen for locals. Nice. Sun all the way and heat but some snow patch for refreshment. On the ridge sun, just a stone's throw in the valley (Črna) and on Uršlja heavy showers. And nice greetings.

If we assume the slope is stable, then the only problem can be caused by surface water flowing over that slope, and if such a path is not fortified (even if it is to some extent), it can cause erosion. Initially smaller indentations and small ditches can gain larger dimensions over time and with floods. Otherwise most surely prefer to walk on such a nice path as Janez made it, and invested not only work but also funds into it. Therefore kudos. Trails must be given time and changes monitored.
