Yesterday, 29 August, to Tosc and V. Draški vrh via pathless terrain. From Bohinjska vrata, entry to the wall spiced with climbing right away. In the first part of the ascent, orientation is very demanding. Higher up, numerous cairns helped us. From Tosc, descended pathless to saddle under V. Draški vrh and hopped on it too. Nice tour!

On Sunday, 3 May 2020 we went from Kamniška Bistrica via Konec to Grintovec. After a two-month break due to COVID-19 I felt that some fitness had evaporated, as the ascent was harder than usual. Weather conditions were good, little new snow. At the start of the Roof we put on crampons and headed to the summit. Snow base was very hard, gusty wind bothered us at times. Excellent tour! Adding some pics!

Since we're home now because of coronavirus, I'm shortening time like this and adding some pics from last tour 12 March 2020, when via hunting path to Kordeževa glava and a bit around. Descended secured path then before Mala Peca turned left again to hunting path. Lots of snow, trampling and wind too!

Special days are passing shaped by coronavirus, so we are at home too. Our beautiful mountains will wait till the situation calms, then hit the trail again. But adding some pics from Golica 8 March 2020 to brighten your day. We had ideal conditions!

2.5.2019 We finished May Day holidays with excellent mountain tour to Ledinski vrh. Snow starts a bit higher above the monument, more of it towards Savinjsko sedlo. Using snowshoes and crampons came in very handy. Weather and views unforgettable!

On Friday 21.9.2018
Starting point of long and demanding tour to double-headed Frdamane polices (2284 m and 2274 m) and Špik (2472 m) was Velika Pišnica (near Planina V Klinu - approx. 900 m). Through Kačji graben we ascended to col between Špik and Frdamane polices, where rare cairns directed us to summit of Frdamane polices. To first summit we scramble some larger rock steps and along ridge to highest point of first (SE) summit Frdamane polices (2284 m). From main summit path descends to col (scrambling up to grade II), from there along ridge to second (NW) summit Frdamane polices (2274 m), about 20 min from highest. Also to western forepeak, slightly lower than second summit. Return same way - to end of Kačji graben - then up steep scree towards Špik (2472 m) and after 6.5 hours reach its summit. Descent via Lipnica (2418 m) past Gamsova špica (1931 m) and Koča v Krnici (1118 m), after 10 hours back to start. Ascent total 1800 m.

Yesterday 1.Aug 2018 we went to Dimniki. Pathless tour in Julian Alps that deserves all superlatives. Due to weather forecast-hot!, we chose shady side for ascent and descent. Started the tour at 5am in Triglav valley Kot and walked 1.5h on marked path. In Gube under Rjavina turn left to "PP" (royal part of Planica-Pokljuka path). Rock barrier soon offers real climbing, continuation to window also not without effort, as we overcome narrow and wider ledges above cliffs. Through window descend to sunny side of ridge above Krma valley. Then steep ascent left over grass and rocks to top of Dimniki 2104m. After short break and great views on ridge under Luknja peč and Rjavina follows careful descent on ascent path. At end rope descent over rock barrier. Bravo team!

Janez, you're enjoying your home environment again, while I am enjoying looking at the pictures. Yesterday I was also with the group in fresh snow over Malič, Šmohor and Veliki Solnik. Nice greetings from the Celje area!

From the road junction for Planina Podvežak, you continue up the valley and then there's a junction for Lučka Bela valley.

lijaneja, demanding descent, depends on individual. Otherwise easier to ascend than descend in reverse. Snow to top O.K. Lpd...
