Hello!

Since we are both hikers and have decided to get married, we would prefer to do it without big ceremonies in the mountains. But maybe you know some priest who would be willing to do it? I know that there is a mass on top of Storžič every August, but I don't know which parish it belongs to... If you have any information please share and thanks!

Tomorrow or on Tuesday we'd like to go on a snowshoe excursion. Since two haven't walked with snowshoes yet, I'm wondering if anyone knows some fun tour to excite beginners? nasmeh

Good luck and stay safe everyone!

Is winter gear still needed for the path to Crna Prst past Orožnova hut (starting point Dr. J. Mencinger hut)? Thanks and best regards!

Hello! Planning a trip to Triglav, going up from Rudno polje, return via Triglav lakes towards Savica. Wondering what's the path from Triglav summit down to Dolič? Thanks!

Has anyone gone to Lake Krn these days?

We finally decided for Velika Planina and really enjoyed it. Given the not too encouraging weather forecast we decided not to drive far, just to go into the snow. I absolutely agree that for starters, to excite a person, a nearby hill soon after snowfall is enough, for me it was love at first sight. Friends liked it too, we spent a great winter day, which I can conclude only with my sister's words, who dreamed of spring already in January: "If it's so great, winter can linger a bit longer!" nasmeh

Thanks!!! For now thinking about Velika Planina or Soriška Planina (Lajnar, Slatnik). Anyone hiked these areas? Especially interested in Soriška Planina...

Regarding Javornik... from the direction of Črni vrh, leave the car at the ski area and continue on foot. Path leads to Grom farm and all the way to the top. Yesterday it was a real winter idyll!

OK, thanks everyone! nasmeh It seemed so to me, but everyone always tells me I worry too much and I always decide better not and to be safe. Once after Christmas we wanted to go to Viševnik, but the avalanche report was such that I said better not, but in those days they were going up almost in a column... and for tomorrow they told me there's no problem on Komna, so I rather ask... Thanks and no hard feelings! We'll find something else, just to be outside!

Hello!
Tomorrow we would like to go to Komna, but we're a bit worried about avalanche danger... What are your experiences, how dangerous is it? We've been to Komna several times in winter, but never so soon after such heavy snowfall. Such a nice day as tomorrow should be is a sin to waste in the valley nasmeh
Thanks for any info!
