At the beginning of June I'm heading for 10 days to Annecy(Fra), I plan to spend as active a vacation as possible with hikes to surrounding mountains under Mont Blanc and climbing some ferrata. Since there's little written about this area on Slovenian sites and not much in English either(most is in French), I'd be glad for any comment from mountaineers who've visited this part of the Alps. I've read interesting descriptions from viharnik, but I'd be glad if someone else knows some interesting paths or tours to share. Especially what would be a sin to miss big grin

Thanks

Hi, searched a bit on the internet but didn't find it. Namely if there's a site or some app or something like that where you log the peaks you've conquered. I know there are booklets where you collect stamps, but I'd like electronic form for my own records. thanks for help

From the direction of Logarska Dolina, is the path normally passable or is there still some snow on the path? Especially where the cables are?

Anyone been up yesterday or going today? Would appreciate info on conditions, approx where snow starts... thanks

Has anyone been to the Czech Hut via ferrata in the last few days? What's the path condition like? Thanks

Snow starts about 100 m above Planina Podvežak, no sign of snow up to there...
Better to do the path early in the morning, as around noon it softens a lot and sinks in some parts....

Has anyone gone up recently from Planina Podvežak?
Curious about road condition to parking?
And snow conditions on terrain. Planning the mentioned ascent tomorrow....

"Problematic" snow is only on Hanzovi. All other routes are passable without problems regarding snow conditions!

p.s. The route is interesting, from the top you can quickly get back to the start, so it's a sin not to climb it multiple times in one day.
After the tour obligatory stop at the hut where they have very friendly prices for drinks ;-)

Marx, the route is harder than Pogačnik's on Grmada, especially the last part.... it's also longer than the mentioned one.
Still it's easier than Gonzarca....

From the description I guess you're from Maribor area or at least somewhere that direction. Closest to you for sure is to leave highway at Dramlje and drive past Sentjur towards Planina pri Sevnici and on to Sevnica....
Or second option Podčetrtek-Bistrica ob Sotli-Podsreda-Senovo-Brestanica-Sevnica

those mentioned routes are definitely closer...

One reply above you have my post about snow
Trail is dry, snow patches just still for sample, so trail completely passable without crampons. Snow easily avoided, trail passable without problems and without danger....

I also think it would be much more pleasant to do the tour the other way. Over Škarje to Ojstrica is a very looong ascent, and with the temperatures these days also very strenuous if you don't start the tour very early.
The path to Kamniško sedlo up or down is nothing special, so no need to fear. There's enough protection, especially where there's exposed part.
If you have issues with exposure maybe the shortcut connecting Kamniško sedlo with the start of ascent to Planjava is a bit more demanding. But I believe you'll manage ;-)
You've planned a nice and interesting tour, just make sure to do it early enough, as it can be very hot during the day.
Safe steps, and after we're waiting for report with pictures ;-)

Today did the tour via Kopinškova up through Škarje dol. Very little snow, so it can be bypassed without problem, so whoever plans to go can go without crampons no problem, since almost no snow left....
But the tour was nice, started at 4 am from Dom planincev, when returning the sun was already nicely shining. So recommend doing the tour early....
safe steps

On Wednesday I took a short walk from Uskovnica to Veliki Draški vrh, then to Tosc and back to Uskovnica. I experienced everything from a light shower to snow to sunny weather.... During the whole hike I met no other hikers, but there were many more native highland dwellers mežikanje I saw among others 3 marmots and 6 chamois. It was a really peaceful day, for all heading to Pokljuka peaks no need for winter gear (ice axe, crampons), I had them..., since any snow patch can be easily avoided.
I must point out that from Srenjski preval to VDV the initial section of the path is a bit difficult, as the brush has overgrown...

Views were excellent, only Triglav peak was in fog from both VDV and Tosc mežikanje

@IgorZlodej, looking forward to the condition photos mežikanje

Has anyone been to Peca in the last few days?
zico1028. 04. 2015 10:44:39
I was there half a month ago from planina Podvežak. With car could reach where they haul wood and there's ground barrier for animal passage (to planina Podvežak then about half hour walk more). From planina onwards snow all the way, but since early no sinking. Later on descent started sinking, so recommend early approach. Crampons needed only for last part from saddle to summit.

Safe steps ;-)
