two years ago, on return from Krofička, she sat down

Today on Krofička. Snow up to the ridge/turnoff to Strelovec is really little, higher up to the knees, mostly untracked. The traverse under the summit, the only more demanding part of the path, is nicely covered with scree, so crossing is much easier. Nice sunny day, beer at the hut in short sleeves.

On Thursday 16.2. I went to check the conditions in the gullies right of the Central Plaz. There is really little snow and it is completely unconsolidated, so I decided to go up the gully to the NW ridge and then to the summit. Due to the conditions, even the approach to the ridge is more difficult and a bit higher the tower, which proves to be the key part of the route. Some rock scratching is also required for the ascent from the notch in the last third of the ridge. From the summit I descended again to the Bor gully and after a few tries at the first jump, which looks quite innocent, I raised the white flag and trudged to the hut for tea. The gullies need at least one, if not two, snow dumps.

From Belska Kočna along the hunting path to the ridge between Mrzla gora and Mrzli vrh, from there marked to the top of Mrzla gora. I continue down the northern ridge and scree; follows a traverse and ridge to Krnička gora. I descend back to Belska Kočna along the hunting path. The original plan was a bit different, but as befits hunting/scree ones, there were adjustments on site, but I won't bore with details.

That's how it is with the snow in the gully.

Today I was at the summit. I advise an early start, the snow is too wet and the nights these days are not cold enough to cement it properly, so it sinks/postholes early in the morning. I started at six from Kredarica. On Mali Triglav there are already many bare sections, the traverses are not so demanding, but it is good to have two ice axes. The ropes on the ridge are mostly out.

In the first picture he's at the top of Kranjska Rinka, zoomed from Skuta around half past eight. The next are taken at the start of ascent to Skuta, around quarter past nine.

Isn't there anyone manly enough in PD Postojna to go to the mother-in-law and take the keys from her?

With that much metal up there, the parking fee is still too low.

Early in the morning we got up, ate something and drove back to Aljaž's home, where I had finished the previous day.


Outstanding achievement in all respects, but this doesn't seem the fairest.

In my opinion, the only proper completed transverzala is the one fully walked.

If you go to the mountains early in true mountaineering style, you won't pay; if you're a tourist and like to lounge around late, then pay the tourist price.

1.80€ for tea, truffles inside or what?

I don't understand; there's already terrible crowds up there, and you would abolish the parking payment and stuff even more metal up there?
