The central was this weekend, as always, very visited. Surprisingly, it is quite filled; rocks show only at one spot, but the passage is easy. The snow is wind-blown powder, so we can be grateful to predecessors for the track; I suggest keeping one for ascent and the other for descent, because otherwise the track turns into a weird toboggan, which is awkward for walking, and especially gives the impression that the whole of Slovenia went to Begunjščica. This is just my opinion.

Wow! 2.44h!? Over both peaks: Planjava and Ojstrica also back to starting point in 2h44'?
Maybe I'll try to step a bit faster too, to see in how much time I walk this path. Maybe I'll succeed in 4h.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I think we'll wait a bit with the Slovenian route.

I'd like to go up the Slovenian route with my dad. We have rope, helmet, ice axe, crampons, harnesses, etc. and we know how to belay, but we don't have pitons. How is the protection in this route? From the descriptions it seems we could manage without belays with some effort, but I'm asking because I want to know.

Thanks for the answers. I think I'll take the 20m rope and extend it with shorter 3 to 4m slings or figure something else out. Emergency solution.

What about 20m rope? I have 20m and 50m rope. Do I need to carry the heavy 50m for that one abseil?

Super tour, gotta say I'm a bit >>folž<<. How steep is the slope? 35, maybe 40 degrees?

Today on Stol. Snow up to the bench, but not much of it. Weather was top-notch. View to Dolomites, Veliki Klek, Kamnik Alps and of course Julian Alps and Triglav. Not a single cloud on any hill. Conditions were shout-worthy. Crusted enough that it didn't slide, at the same time no need to break trail, and trampled since Saturday. Currently on Stol there's a trampled highway.

Today uncle and I went to Triglav from Krma via Planika and Mali Triglav. Footprints trampled everywhere if no rock passage. Nasty on the ridge and in the chimney with ice (slope good 40 degrees, footprints), so recommend ice axe. Reached top in 4h30min. Descent quite nasty. Thing already so high it can be frozen even south-facing. 2000m up and down in 9h, so drove off at 15.00 from Krma.

Today my dad and I headed to Little Draški Peak. Little snow, can do without winter gear no problem. Actually snow holds only in form of small patches. On shady side there's some snow but rocks stick out from it. Up the steep gully from Srenjski Pass to summit, then we wanted towards Great Draški Peak, found anchor for descent but didn't have rope, so turned back. On summit ridge we turned down one gully too early and followed tracks. So we weren't first to take that gully. We went left to ridge to look around. There we found a footprint. Obviously predecessor did same as us - realized mistake at same time, also went to ridge to look, then turned up,… Then we headed up and found right path for descent.

These general riddles for beginners are really fun. I've been hiking for years and only figured out Velika Dnina from 4.9.

I was up there about a month ago via Psica. In Škarjev rob there was still too much snow (would need crampons, ice axe; the snowfield was very steep and long). That was a problem as dad and I had to descend via Kališče and take a ride to Dom pod Storžičem. On Psica bad weather. Hope I answered your question.
