Bird of prey = bird of prey, in our language also raptor. Prey = prey. Pray = prayer.

Also on Sunday (23.07.23) the road was passable without problems. And not only to Jermanca but also further to Konec.

@tango You were at Blekova, not Belska planina. I went almost same path Sunday, just to Trupeja via shorter path over Železnica.

On the trail you're asking about, you step on snow two or three times, but only a few steps, so no winter gear needed. Hiked 21.05.2022.

It is paid, but also nicely arranged.

Today I was on the Sleme and also on Vrtaški vrh along the way. On the entire path there's only one small snow patch left, no winter gear needed for it. Right after Vrtaška planina there's some fallen trees on the path, but we bypass them easily. Although the summit isn't among the most popular, I met quite a few hikers on the way. Oh, and this: both summits now have stamps and I hope they stay there.

Today I was on Kal Ridge. I started at the parking lot on Jezerca pasture, then across Koren pasture, Kompotelo and Vrh Korena onwards to the summit. I returned via Dolga Njiva pasture and Krvavec. On the path there are only a few snow patches left (mainly on the section Vrh Korena - Kal Ridge), which can be crossed without winter gear. No snow on the most exposed spots.

The people will wake up when summer comes and it is time for vacation abroad. Then they will stand in queues for whole days and beg on their knees to get vaccinated.

@ elsalvador If you go to Korošica on the marked path from Podvežak pasture, then along the path there's a water spring called Inkretov studenec, which is also marked; on a stone by the path it says "water".

When big money is at stake, even greens kneel quickly. We've seen it, also here (TEŠ, Magna, ...). Basically same old faces again, from NGOs to civil society, all hooked on state funds. Obviously tired of cycling.

The measures we have here are also in other European countries. Maybe they are somewhat milder somewhere (Sweden), but our neighbor is Italy (10,700 dead) not Sweden. The difference is only that here police warn people, abroad they issue concrete fines. And such measures were introduced precisely because of animals whose instinct pulls them to the sea, to the mountains, on bikes or even paragliders. Last weekend it was nicely visible on TV and webcams crowds of people at the sea, Bled, Planica, Krvavec, Kranjska Gora and elsewhere, but even that can't convince the trained left-wing little Slovenians not to look for conspiracies and usual culprits. That they canceled the Olympics, Euro 2020, NBA, MLB, Tour, Giro, Wimbledon obviously still doesn't convince some. @ Darinka which article of the constitution will you quote then, when they'll be hauling bodies away by trucks, as they already do in Italy? Or will you quote Napoleon then too?

Today via Kališče and Bašeljski vrh to Little Grintovec. Almost no snow to Bašeljski vrh. On descent from Bašeljski vrh and ascent to Little Grintovec there are quite some snow patches, but they don't pose bigger problems for walking. Didn't need winter gear, nor did I notice it on others who climbed the summit at that time.

Please go heal your frustrations on some other portal, say 24 kur, which is made for well-trained Slovenian sheepdogs.

Quickly from memory: At Sv. Duh under Olševa (= Podolševa) there was never a mountain hut, but a private farm fulfilled that task, which had one room reserved for hikers and other tourists. I think the farm was called pri Strevcu (definitely not pri Prevcu). Today the tourist farm Rogar fulfills the function of mountain hut, where they offer food, drinks and accommodations to guests. They also have stamps of all surrounding peaks there.
