I've hiked the peaks from Planjava to Ojstrica many times already but still don't know exactly which peak is Lučka Brana-Baba. On different maps it's different everywhere. Does anyone know if the peaks follow as I think? Planjava- Vilice 2344 and 2335m then Baba 2244m. That's on my map (KS-1/25000). On other maps I've seen different heights and also different location for Baba(2235m?). If someone knows it would be interesting to clear things up as there's a big mess here. I was a member of PZS but soon found out where the dog is buried! So much talk about caring for mountaineering, but nothing of it! From what I feel, what PZS does for the development and existence of mountaineering isn't worth being a PZS member just to maybe sleep cheaper in some hut! Mountain posts have long lost their true purpose and now serve only for collecting money and fleecing some poor tenants trying to survive with usurious rents imposed by mountaineering societies! PZS says nothing here! So I personally don't need such organizations, whoever does let them pay nicely for services. Mountaineering greetings to all lovers of our beautiful hills! Tone

For me huts exist only as annoying objects in nature where some collect money from naive hikers! They get nothing from me, since I don't need them, I've been going to mountains for years and so far had everything necessary with me. The nicest is in mountains in autumn then huts are mostly already closed. These are no longer mountain huts that would provide shelter to hikers in distress and advice if needed, because new-age tenants mostly have no clue about mountaineering and are there only for their own profit! Sadly modern Greed has also greatly affected mountaineering societies! And nice mountaineering greetings! Tone

I'm enthusiastic hiker and cyclist too. Would do Pomurska trail by bike but wonder if there are sections not bikeable? To me really more like path for sports life enthusiasts and adjective hiking not fitting much since no mountains around here? Prefer biking on asphalt over walking but still do something for myself. When reading these lines, especially life lessons about other people (lijaneja), I'm ashamed that such people coexist in our little country, who have such a derogatory attitude to others, it even bothers them to meet them on hiking trails! I think the editor of this website should consider permanently banning such a person from posting their sick posts, since in the end we're all equal, we must help each other and you never know when you'll need the person, no matter who they are or where from!

Leave the car approx 1.5 km from P.Gradec towards Črni vrh. You reach a fork where the road branches right towards Petačev graben. Right after the bridge you park and go! steeply uphill. If you look closer, it's even marked. You grind your knees for about half an hour and reach a point where you have a nice view of Polhograjska gora. From there on along the road, nothing to miss! From Pasja Ravan you can continue towards Selo (it's even marked) and then down to the start. Approx 4-5h.
I do this route when there's nowhere higher to go and it's very nice right after snowing. Virgin snow! Good luck.

I went back this way too of course on parts "ass-first" but don't recommend to vertigo sufferer or depth-fear, not completely easy! Key is right passage, no prob. LP good luck!

You can go via the NE ridge, there are jumps that don't exceed first grade, a bit of orientation sense needed! Much better than that exposed thing 5 meters below summit. LP good luck!

Just as Trobec said, my comment is in no way malicious and I just want to say that in my long aviation career I want to point out only that there were way too many mountain rescues due to underestimating objective dangers and cockiness! I've dabbled in meteorology as a hobby for years and know how unpredictable weather can be and how quickly you become nature's victim in high mountains. Even the craftiest foxes get trapped! Obviously mountain rescuers meddle when we try to tell them not to do it because they endanger us. The day will come when every rescue is paid like abroad and then everyone will think hard how much such foolishness can cost. (in Switzerland no rescues under 12000 E.) Turbo should rethink his lecturing others and his experiences!

In such weather you don't go to such mountains as time rules don't apply. Once I sat on a summit watching someone descending from the neighboring peak. It flashed a bit, then thundered only once! Sadly the young girl is no more, only a memorial plaque on the rock remains! I've been hiking mountains for over 50 years and unfortunately witnessed several very sad stories! And the heroism of descent through Gamsov skret, which is deadly dangerous when wet! I think mountain rescue service should seriously consider charging for rescues, as with such foolish behavior some endanger rescuers' lives, if you don't care about your own. If you go on such heroics, keep it to yourself and don't advertise it, because your inner ego demands it! For all to consider! Nice mountaineering greeting! Tone

I'm announcing myself again. Really objective answers about conditions somewhere are not obtained on such forums where all sorts of know-it-alls write, but inquire at the meteo service and mountaineering association and finally also at mountain rescuers! I'm horrified by someone's advice that conditions on Grintovec can be seen from pictures (from the airport???). I've been hiking in the mountains for 50 years; such advice means nothing to me, on the contrary it can be very misleading since they are subjective! Nice mountaineer greeting! Tone

There is definitely snow, but someone asks if winter gear is needed. I advise him to take a basic course on moving in the mountains, then he won't ask such nonsense!
