Every year it's closed beginning of August...

I have problems with shoes because I have wide feet. If they are soft after breaking them in they are wide as Monday, if stiff they bash my toes in front. Last 14 years I swear by Meindl. Planika is supposedly the same model so I'll try Planika next.
So I'd also ask for some experience with Planika

Has anyone by chance been from the Davča side? How much snow is there?

And who knows besides that it's dry if larches are already there too?

Probably we met on path from Tamar when you three super hikers returned, we barely enthused kids from home in Tamar (when one tumbled you offered Hansaplast?). Super tour, bravo guys!

In the end we decided it's definitely safer to discard the two mushrooms we're not sure about.

It's true that it might be instructive for next time if I photographed them and shared here. Sorry.

I have a technical question. Usually I don't pick mushrooms that I don't know. Today we went to the forest with the kids and they found two chanterelles and two "chanterelles", which are really yellow underneath, have grooves, but it bothers me that they are dark on top. One whole and one brown, like speckled. Not like fly agarics. Is this a variant or a cousin that will poison us?

My wife is already teasing me that piksna is not a protected mushroom species...

Otherwise that with Planika... it won't quite fit. I was in Ljubljana yesterday, at least in three different stores they had Planika shoes, but no Meindls.


Does anyone know, for wide feet besides Meindls, any other suitable footwear? Planika doesn't fit me for some unknown reason.

Since there is no more Popotnik or whatever it was in Hala, I don't know anymore where to get them.

I visited Ratitovec yesterday; I must praise the cooks (cookesses?); both paths from Prtovč are OK, on the sunny part over povden (up, when out of the forest, before zajla) there were blueberries.
And lots of people. Otherwise both paths are fine.

As feedback. We tried 5 of the above ideas and all aroused enthusiasm. Maybe sometimes it's easier if there's a bit of company but it's always nice. Thanks everyone for the help for us who aren't so often in the mountains.

Can someone please advise me, if you have any idea for a hiking trip suitable for 3 and 5 year old children. They like to walk, explore nature, play in the hut. We visited e.g. Golica, Kum, Krim, planina Razor, all so that there was about 1 hour walking (marked), we walked accordingly longer.
Or if someone just shares some personal experience
