I was recently on both - I'd say it's Palec, Zelenjak hidden right of it.

Yes, to the peak it's dry and today quite warm - probably the same for tomorrow. Larches are there, of course. But not yet in those real colors - probably that was the question.

Almost spring-like temperatures today drew me to the hills, not too early. Goal: Mala Mojstrovka via Hanzova. Shady location, unsure about snow. Still went with son towards the wall. Lower scree sprinkled with snow. Most of the first two-thirds of the path were wet, rock mostly dry. Last third quite snowy. If frozen, would have turned back or not even started; but snow was wet, temperatures high for the season, so we completed the secured part. Didn't go to the top of Mala Mojstrovka - after the secured part turned down towards Vršič. Youth always rushing.
Larches are a bit shedding, not yellow yet as I quietly hoped for nice autumn scenes - they still lack that. Lots of cars at the pass itself. In the warm weather, you saw everything - from cyclists, motorcyclists, walkers with baby in stroller.
Nice day well spent before the forecasted winter.

Yesterday on Veliki vrh from Matizovec. The original plan wasn't that, but the road closure in Jelendol did its thing. You can only get there if you're there before 7 a.m., you can return after 6 p.m. I intended to go to Košutnikov turn - but turned to the west side instead. So I want to hike the entire ridge, but in parts. Start at Matizovec parking and follow the marked path. All praise to whoever enabled parking and fixed the path signs. Planina Kofce beautiful, livestock still grazing, hut all in flowers, terrace super. During a short stop above the hut I forgot phone and jacket in the middle of the meadow - got both back on return to the hut - big thanks again to the girls who brought the found items to the hut and the hut staff who stored them.
The summit itself was in fog and it stayed that way until my departure. The path is not demanding. Maybe just a remark - where there was previously a secured section with a cable, now only holders where it was attached. The section doesn't seem so demanding to me that the cable was really necessary. Maybe that's why they didn't replace it.
No excessive crowds on the whole path, took štruklji to-go. On return extra joy - boletus. To such an extent that I missed the marked path. Continued down the road, had enough climbs for the day. At the junction where Jelendol and Tržič directions are indicated, turn opposite - right - and follow the forest road. Had enough time, road went down and mostly right, fresh horse and cow tracks in the same direction were visible. Should be fine. Arrived almost at the starting point - at the sawmill back to the marked path.
Nothing according to plan - maybe that's why an even nicer day.

Today to Kepa from Erjavčev Rovt - first time. I saw so many beautiful pictures, views, that based on the good weather forecast I decided to check it out closer myself. But as it looks clouds firmly sat on the peaks and stayed there - whole time of my hike and probably later too. It was less hot for me than otherwise, I warmed up on the trail, just didn't see much or better - nothing. Probably I'll repeat the tour sometime later. Today it seemed quite mysterious to me. I'd just mention parts of the path that cross slopes and are actually quite narrow scree trails on steep exposed sections - maybe these parts a bit dangerous for some smaller rascals.

Well-visited path - really steep to warm you up well. Can be good training to strengthen legs for skiing or later longer hikes to higher areas. Otherwise path dry today, warmer at the top than in the valley, especially where fog hasn't cleared yet. Nice views.

Today made use of the free day. Due to temperature inversion quite warm. Crowds not excessive. Road to Vršič dry, parking spot available too, if not otherwise at Erjavčeva koča. Accessible snowy idyll without special danger even for less experienced.

Today in clear weather to Kompotela via planina Koren. Starting point Jezerca. Lots of visitors. Cold, frozen, sunny, some mud even in sunny spots. Microspikes came in handy. Then the ridge.. gusts of wind, almost hurricane force, which deterred us and many others from the set goal. Next time..., not much was missing. Kompotela and vrh Korena will wait. Still a nice day with wonderful views.

Today on Krim. I expected sunny weather, but at the top I experienced a different scene... Otherwise a careful step is needed, as leaves cover where you step. Also, a large part of the path is damp and slippery.

Today on Gradiška tour. Interesting path, not too difficult. But I must mention the beauty of autumn colors of the rowan.

Yesterday late afternoon among yellowing larches. Like a fairy tale. When there's no more crowds either, despite Sunday.
